The frantic transfer window is always a spectacle to look forward to on the football calendar as sensational moves, protracted sagas, hijackings and epic turnarounds all make up the hectic period.

Indeed, the January transfer window has not been any different with many eye-catching moves to ponder. As there is less than a week left and several deals yet to be completed, FootballCastle runs the rule over some deals you should keep an eye on in the following days.

Moisés Caicedo

Big spenders Chelsea are by all accounts not done with their extensive squad rebuild as they are still in search of a quality central midfielder to bolster their ranks.

The new owners have already recruited João Félix, Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, Benoît Badiashile, Andrey Santos and David Datro Fofana this month while Malo Gusto has reportedly agreed to join the club in the summer.

Nevertheless, the blues will look to sign Enzo Fernández or Moisés Caicedo having made active moves to bring either man to Stamford Bridge this year. Although Arsenal have now made a couple of rejected offers as Brighton insist he is not for sale, the Ecuadorian is highly likely to move to London this winter.

Given his public request for a transfer and Brighton banning him for the rest of the window, this is one to watch in the final days of the window, surely.

Hakim Ziyech

At the other end of Chelsea’s elaborate spending of more than £450m on new signings since last summer is Hakim Ziyech, one of those on the departure list.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea are asking for €20m (£17.5m) for the Moroccan who is of interest to Roma as a replacement for Nicolò Zaniolo. The Italian side are locked in negotiations with their academy graduate over a move to Bournemouth before they can make an offer for Ziyech.

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old is also in contact with fellow Serie A side AC Milan and his much-expected transfer should happen in the coming days.

Terem Moffi

The Nigerian striker has been tearing up the French top-flight this season and keen suitors have understandably followed in the winter.

Moffi, whose 12 Ligue 1 strikes are bettered only by Kylian Mbappe, has been the subject of interest across English and French clubs as Southampton and West Ham have both been credited with official bids while the player reportedly prefers to stay in France.

The 23-year-old wants to join Nice after agreeing on personal terms and has already turned down a move to Olympique Marseille but the clubs are yet to reach a suitable transfer fee.

What other moves are you looking forward to? Let us know in the comments section.
