It was a happy game week 24 for managers who captained the top picks in DGW 24 as Bruno Fernandes(£11.5m), İlkay Gündoğan(£6.1m), and Mo Salah(£12.6m) all produced attacking returns.
However, the long haul to FPL glory continues, especially With Leeds and Southampton both playing twice in Gameweek 25. Football Castle provides the top picks for DGW 25 ahead of the Deadline on Friday 19th February at 18:30 GMT.
Defender
Dan Burn (£4.2m) offers an eye-catching route into Brighton’s defence which has kept five clean sheets in the last six games. Burn next comes up against Crystal Palace who are struggling for clean sheets or goals, presenting the Brighton man clean sheet potentials alongside a goal threat from setpieces.
Midfielders
Raphinha (£5.4m) Offers fantastic value but has gone under the radar with just 4.9% ownership. The Brazilian has registered 77 points since breaking into Leeds’ starting lineup in GW 9, slightly higher than Bamford’s 74, and is a prime differential in DGW 25.
With a fixture scheduled for GW 29 when 14 other teams face blank GWs, Raphinha is a smart pick in a Leeds triple-up with Patrick Bamford (£6.9m) and Stuart Dallas(£4.9m) for short and long-term gains.
Raheem Sterling (£11.6m) has attacking returns in his last six games against Arsenal. Having been left out of the scoring against Tottenham and Everton in DGW 24 would be looking to notch against the Gunners.
The only worry, however, is Guardiola’s potential rotation ahead of the Champions League Round of 16 in midweek but Sterling is quite immune to The Pep Roulette. The Mancunians are tipped to score over 3.5 goals at 2.79 with our betting partners.
Mo Salah (£12.6m) has been in his usual goal-scoring mood and sits atop of the race for the Golden Boot despite Liverpool’s poor form in 2021. The Egyptian has already surpassed his 23 goals total from last season and will look to lead Liverpool to a home victory in the Merseyside Derby. Liverpool are backed to score o2.5 goals at 2.29 and with Salah on penalties, the Reds marksman is backed at 3.51 to score.
Strikers
Danny Ings (£8.4m): Although Southampton have now gone ten Premier League games without a win in 11, losing their last six and scored just five times. Ings is back in scoring form and has juicy fixtures (Chelsea and Leeds) to sink his scoring boots into.
Danny Ings has scored 30 Premier League goals since the start of last season:

Patrick Bamford (£6.9m) Has five goal involvements in his last four appearances and faces two out-of-form sides in Wolves and Southampton. Only Bruno Fernandes has taken more shots than the Englishman this season, plus a man who captains himself in FPL has the added incentive and arrogance that is sometimes key. Leeds scoring o3.5 goals against Wolves is booked at 3.20.
Timo Werner(£9.2m) has four attacking returns in his last three games (21 points) with his sparkling performances of late. After breaking his 100-day goal drought against Newcastle, Werner is set for an explosion of goals.
Additionally, the German faces Southampton against whom he had his best Premier League performance to date with two goals and an assist in GW 5.
