Another Fantasy Premier League game week takes centre stage when Arsenal and Manchester City boast double fixtures in game week 23.

There have been a lot of notable differentials and bargain picks in recent game weeks and long may it continue with Kaoru Mitoma and Wilfried Gnonto holding the biggest appeal. Marcus Rashford also seeks to maintain his exceptional form after a league-high 20 points haul in double game week 22.

The FootballCastle has all the best tips to consider ahead of the deadline at 11:00 GMT on Saturday 11 February.

Goalkeepers

Nick Pope (£5.5m)

The Newcastle man is on an impressive run that sees him sit as the highest-scoring goalkeeper in the game with more than 100 points.

Pope comes up against Bournemouth who have one of the worst attacks in the league and he offers a route into the Geordies’ strict backline.

Aaron Ramsdale (£4.9m)

He has double game week fixtures against Brentford and Manchester City with an Arsenal side that can keep clean sheets against the bigger teams in recent matches against Tottenham and Newcastle.

The Englishman has six returns in his last 10 matches, including two double-digit hauls and he must be considered a top goalkeeper option for GW23.

Defenders

Nathan Ake (£5.1m)

The Dutchman’s versatility will fill the void left by João Cancelo’s departure and he is in a good place to start both DGW23 matches.

Gabriel (£5.2m)

Gabriel magalhaes

Arsenal’s typically strong defence holds huge appeal in DGW23 as they rank second for clean sheets, goals conceded, shots in the box conceded, shots on target conceded and joint first for big chances conceded.

Gabriel is the highest-ranked Gunners defender for expected goal involvements as well as joint-fourth in the league for attempts on goal.

Kieran Trippier (£6.1m)

The Englishman has more points than any other defender as his offensive stats set him apart this season with no defender creating more successful crosses, chances or big chances.

Trippier’s 96.6% ownership is evidence of his popularity so retain him in your defence.

Reece James (£5.7m)

Chelsea have been steadily improving in confidence after keeping three consecutive clean sheets as they rank joint third best for goals conceded, joint second for clean sheets and fourth best for big chances conceded in their last six matches.

Reece James faces a West Ham side that failed to score in three of their last six matches and will be seeking a return to full match fitness after totalling 14 attacking returns last season.

Midfielders

Kaoru Mitoma (£5.1m)

kaoru mitoma

The in-form winger has returned in each of his last four league matches, making him an easy addition for game week 23.

Brighton have the most goals scored and second-most shots on target in the last six matches while they play against a Crystal Palace side who have conceded the most shots in the box and attempts on goal in the same period.

Mitoma is the most-bought player in GW23 after four goals and an assist in his last five appearances.

Jack Grealish (£6.8m)

An ownership rate of just 1.5% for Man City’s double game week could provide huge differential value as Grealish has started each of the last three matches.

The ex-Aston Villa captain has notably stepped up his output since the season restarted with four of his six total goal involvements coming in this half of the season. Grealish can take advantage of his former side and Arsenal who have struggled defensively with just two clean sheets in nine home games.

 Martin Ødegaard (£6.9m)

Arsenal rank second for goals scored this season and doubling up on their frontline could be hugely beneficial in FPL.

Ødegaard has three double-digit hauls in his last six matches with returns in two of the remaining three, making him one of the top picks you can have for DGW23.

Brennan Johnson (£5.6m)

The Welsh star is in his best form of the season after three goals and two assists in the last four games for a resurgent Nottingham Forest side.

After producing 30 points and no blanks against Southampton, Leicester City, Bournemouth and Leeds United, Johnson would be pleased to visit Fulham who have picked up only one point from their last three matches.

Riyad Mahrez (£7.7m)

The Manchester City winger has scored three times and supplied four assists in Man City’s seven matches since the restart.

Mahrez was the top-scoring player in their last double fixtures in GW20 and has amassed 46 points since Gameweek 17, just two fewer than Erling Haaland.

Forwards

Callum Wilson (£7.1m)

Newcastle face an out-of-sorts Bournemouth side who are the worst in the league for attempts on goal conceded and second worst for shots in the box conceded.

Wilson takes his team’s penalties and will remain the focal point of the Newcastle attack as this season’s highflyers look to capitalize on one of the worst teams in the league.

Harry Kane (£11.7m)

Harry Kane

Tottenham’s all-time record goalscorer has previously thrived against Leicester City who have conceded multiple goals in five of their six matches since the restart.

With his four goals and one assist in the last five games, Kane is in prime form to keep returning points.

Erling Haaland (£12.2m)

The Norwegian recovered from his first drop in ownership before GW21 by netting a hat-trick and you simply must not rule him out of the captaincy for any double game week.

After going 90 minutes without a shot against Tottenham, you can surely expect some returns against Aston Villa and Arsenal.
